Child Sponsorship

Part of the HTMI vision is to see people released from poverty to be able live happy and productive lives. We therefore are looking firstly, to help children who have lost their parents, who would otherwise be living on the streets, to have a caring home, wholesome food, and a good education. The best way of providing this is to work in partnership with orphanage ministries already established.

HTMI is currently working in partnership with two orphanage ministries in India and Sri Lanka. Both Ministries are visited by HTMI on a regular basis and the standard of care has been consistently excellent.

Your financial gift of £20 per month will help children in the third world to live in a safe and positive environment, also ensuring that children receive a good education

The Light of Hope Mission in Kerala was founded by Pappy Daniels and now accommodates around 120 children. Many of those brought up in the home have gone on to further education and employment. Pictured here is the new boys home which is nearing completion. When finished it will be able to accommodate around 100 boys.

Much of the food eaten is grown or raised in the grounds, including bananas, laploca, mangoes, and even fish from a large pond.

This home is run by Prebha Thanlaraham. Most of those cared for are referrals from the local courts, and can't be accommodated in state run homes due to behavioural issues.

There are around 50 Children of various ages accommodated at the home, which has had to change location a number of times due to political struggles between the Tamil Tigers and the Sri Lankan Army. Pictured here are a brother and sister drawing water from the well with sister Prebha.

Two of the girls that were brought up in the home, are now in their early twenties are now assisting in the day to day care of the children.

You can join with HTMI and see children released from poverty, to be happy, well feed, have a good education, and live productive lives in their own country.

To sponsor a child at the Light of Hope Mission home in Kerala, India, or in the Canaan Children's Home in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, just costs £20 a month, and if you are a UK tax payer then we can currently claim back an extra 28p for every £1 you give.
